About the Ambassador Program
Greetings from College Hill!
The Office of Alumni Affairs is working with Ed Auble ’61, chair of the International Alumni Committee of the Alumni Council, to create a listing of alumni living outside the United States who would be willing to have their name and email address posted on the Lafayette alumni homepage as a Lafayette International Alumni Ambassador.
What is the role of the Lafayette International Alumni Ambassador? He or she is someone who agrees to serve as a helpful resource and friendly face for alumni in their area of the world. An ambassador might offer information ranging from a source of quality child care, to where to find bargains, to names of outstanding restaurants. He or she can share the names of other alumni in the area and what plans the College may have for outreach there. An ambassador also knows how an alum in the area can serve Lafayette, such as meeting with prospective international students or hosting study-abroad students for a meal.
Our hope is to create a list of alumni representing the 90 countries where almost 400 of our alumni currently reside. Click on the regions of the world listed under “Categories” in the right margin of this page to find alumni who already have agreed to serve as ambassadors.
The Office of Alumni Affairs is here to help international alumni stay connected to their Lafayette friends and to the College but we need your help! Questions? Interested in being listed? Contact the alumni office at alumni@lafayette.edu.
We look forward to hearing from you!
